Confident Onboarding, Seamless Migration: EA Technology Move to HubSpot with Struto

EA Technology transitioned from ClickDimensions to HubSpot Marketing Hub to modernise its campaign operations. Through structured onboarding, Struto helped the internal team launch quickly and confidently without losing control of their processes or disrupting live campaigns.

Background

EA Technology is a UK-based global leader in electrical asset management and net-zero engineering. For over 50 years, they’ve supported utilities, governments, and large enterprises in building more resilient, energy-efficient power systems.

To support their evolving marketing needs, EA Technology decided to move away from ClickDimensions, a Microsoft-based marketing platform, in favour of HubSpot. The team needed a more intuitive, flexible system to manage campaigns and scale activity.

Situation

While the decision to adopt HubSpot was final, EA Technology opted for a guided onboarding rather than a full-service migration. The marketing team wanted to retain control of the process, with expert support to ensure the new platform was set up properly and that key assets were transferred accurately.

HubSpot referred EA Technology to Struto, a partner known for structured onboarding and deep HubSpot expertise.

Solution

Struto worked closely with EA Technology’s internal team to deliver a high-impact onboarding experience. The focus was clear: get the team confidently using HubSpot Marketing Hub as quickly and smoothly as possible, without overcomplicating the process.

The engagement included uploading and configuring core assets, such as branded email templates and key forms, setting up tracking preferences, and aligning HubSpot’s campaign structure to EA Technology’s marketing approach. Just as importantly, Struto provided strategic coaching to ensure the internal team understood not just how to use the tools, but how to get the most value from them.

By breaking the onboarding into short, focused sessions, Struto allowed the team to learn while executing, building practical knowledge rather than theoretical training.

Hurdles

Some complexity arose from the overlap with ClickDimensions, which was still in limited use during the onboarding. Final decisions on legacy data and campaign ownership were still being worked out internally, requiring Struto to remain flexible and responsive.

There were also key differences between how ClickDimensions and HubSpot handle forms, segmentation, and contact behaviour, areas where Struto provided targeted clarification to reduce confusion and build confidence.

“I really enjoyed this project, EA Tech were engaged, curious, and committed to getting the most from HubSpot. Helping them build confidence and momentum through onboarding was exactly what a good implementation should feel like.” - Estee Hall, Head of Production, Struto

Outcome

By the end of the engagement, EA Technology’s marketing team was live on HubSpot, actively running campaigns and building out new assets. The shift away from ClickDimensions marked a clear improvement in usability and speed.

The team now manages HubSpot independently, empowered with the structure, templates, and training needed to scale their activity efficiently.

Results

EA Technology’s marketing team gained confidence and capability with HubSpot, supported by focused onboarding sessions and the migration of essential assets. While the team has not yet fully retired ClickDimensions, they are now equipped to manage campaigns in HubSpot with clarity and control. The flexible approach allowed them to learn by doing, reduce reliance on external teams, and prepare for a smoother transition when they formally cut over to HubSpot as their primary platform.

Future Scope

While no additional work is currently scoped, EA Technology has indicated that they may return to Struto for further HubSpot configuration or integration as they expand their use of the platform.
